Introduction to Mindfulness

Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation for Beginners generally takes place on the last Friday of every month.

In this 90 minute drop-in class the focus will be on your questions about meditation and starting and  maintaining a practice.

Some of the topics that will be covered are: 

  • Why the practice of mindfulness meditation can support us in daily living.
  • Misconceptions about what mindfulness meditation is and how they occur.
  • How we allow our “thinking mind” to hinder us in our initial practice.
  • Correct meditation posture using a chair.
  • The importance of creating a personal space for meditation.
