Join students old and new for a monthly drop-in meditation class led by Theodore Tsaousidis. Classes are offered in Owen Sound and (starting in May) in Meaford. The drop-in classes will be run in a secular (non-religious) manner and are informed by Buddhist teachings. Please check the Calendar for dates and times.
Chairs are provided. Bring your own cushions and/or mats.
Meditation is a way for us to see ourselves as we are, no strings attached. To see things as they are can be confusing and difficult after a lifetime of habituated beliefs, vews and expectations. Sitting quietly with others in a supportive environment, with a qualified guide, is of great help to anyone who wishes to be whole and see things as they are.
No meditation experience required. We will be practicing sitting and walking meditation. Chairs provided but bring a cushion if you prefer to sit on the floor. There will be a talk following meditation practice.
Owen Sound classes are generally* on the last Sunday of the month from 1pm-3pm, located at Her Wellness. 925 2nd Ave E, Owen Sound, ON N4K 2J1. *(No class in July or December)
Meaford classes are on the 2nd Tuesday of the month start in May from 6:30pm-8:00pm, located at The Barn Cooperative, 121 Old Highway 26 N4L 1W7.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to get settled in. Class consists of sitting meditation, walking meditation, and a brief talk.
Cost: In the traditional spirit of teachings available to all, there is no defined cost for participation in drop-in practice. There is an opportunity to support the session costs with an offering of dana – donation according to one’s means.
Everyone is welcome.
